DER Racing made its exciting debut in 2009 when Bristol Dragway concluded their Bracket Program, allowing racers to maintain their competitive edge! Now approaching its 17th season, DER has solidified its reputation as a premier program in the region. Under enthusiastic ownership of Red Whitmore, this program offers an exhilarating experience for all racers!
DER offers advertising and sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals interested in supporting our program. Below are some options to explore. We are also happy to discuss additional ways you can get involved.
In 2024, DER established a commanding presence with an average of nearly 287 entries per race. Our well-structured program features test/tune sessions on Fridays, along with bracket races on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring an action-packed experience for everyone involved. Join us and be part of the excitement!

Class Sponsorship - DER offers nine different classes for racers: Super Pro, Pro (Footbrake), Sportsman, Trophy, Motorcycle, Jr Street, Jr Dragster Div 1 (6-9), Jr Dragster Div 2 (10-12), and Jr Dragster Div 3 (13-17). You can associate your company with the class of your choice, with some classes still available for 2025. The cost is $1,000 per class.
Additional opportunities include: - Time Slips - Your name on each time slip for $500. - 3x6 staging lane signage - $300 displayed only during DER events. DER will produce these with your approval at no charge. Companies are also welcome to donate merchandise, gift cards, etc. These items can be distributed to racers at your discretion, or DER can suggest recipients.
